Software

The College of Design provides a wide variety of software in the College's labs and clusters. Software is available on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms. A list is provided below.

Students must purchase their own software for their own computers. The University cannot provide software for non-University owned computers. Students should check with their instructors and look at the College Student Computer Purchase Requirements for their department before buying software. The NCSU Bookstores Computer Connections department is an excellent place to buy software at educational prices. Check the prices there before buying any software.

The University does provide anti-virus software free-of-charge to all students, faculty, and staff. Any computer connected to the NC State network is required to have up-to-date anti-virus software installed. See http://www.ncsu.edu/antivirus for information and to download the software.
