Biography
Assistant Professor Delcambre holds both an architecture degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Before accepting a position at North Carolina State University she was a Senior Landscape Designer at Olin Partnership in Philadelphia where she worked on a variety of project types encompassing urban design, master planning and public gardens. She has worked professionally in several states including Oregon, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and New Mexico on projects ranging from large master planned communities to institutional work and private gardens.Her passion in teaching is focused on environmental and ecological issues particularly those related to sustainable design, storm water management and brownfield redevelopment. She has taught graduate and undergraduate design studios and seminars in digital media, urban design, site development and construction. When not teaching, Carla is gardening with her family and furthering her interest in promulgating environmental awareness and interest in young children.
Having traveled extensively across the United States she continues to explore places that orchestrate powerful spaces of discovery.
