Biography
Julia Rice joined the staff at the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM Raleigh) as Camps and Workshops Coordinator in 2012. An alumna of the College of Design, Julia returned to Raleigh after earning her MA in Counseling and Art Therapy while living in Chicago. Julia has worked in education, mental health, community arts, non-profit management, events and programs organization, grant writing and human services.At CAM Raleigh, Julia is responsible for short- and long-term management of the museum's camp and workshop programs through research, project development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting results. As a part of her role with CAM Raleigh, Julia directs the College of Design's yearly Design Camp for high school students and Summer Studios for middle and high school students, held at CAM Raleigh.
