Biography

Prior to joining the college in 2009, Kate Thompson Shafer worked as a gallery manager and coordinated exhibitions of nationally recognized artists at contemporary art galleries in San Francisco and Denver. Kate serves as part of the lead programming museum staff to create, implement and evaluate CAM’s first programs, events and marketing campaigns and facilitate the logistics of CAM’s grand opening in 2011. She serves on CAM's Executive Committee, CAM/now young professionals group, and participates as a staff liaison to the CAM Advisory Board and Contemporary Art Foundation Board of Directors.
