Nicole Welch came to the College of Design in February 2006 when the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) became an initiative of the college. Nicole has worked in education, exhibitions, public art, fundraising and community programs with CAM since 2000.In addition to directing the College of Design’s popular Design Camp, Nicole serves as part of the lead museum staff to create, implement and evaluate CAM’s first programs, events and marketing campaigns and facilitate the logistics of CAM’s grand opening in 2011. She serves on CAM’s Executive Committee and the CAM/now young professionals group, leads CAM’s Teacher Advisory Group and participates as a staff liaison to the CAM Advisory Board and Contemporary Art Foundation Board of Directors. Nicole also serves as an advisor to the student-run Fish Market Gallery.
In her spare time, Nicole creates and exhibits her own artwork and enjoys cooking and long walks on the beach.
